Australian Ambassador presents the Australian Service Medal to Australian Army personnel in Lebanon

On 13 July, Australian Ambassador Lex Bartlem presented the Australian Service Medal to a number of Australian Army personnel deployed with Observer Group Lebanon, of the UN Truce Supervision Organization (UNTSO). The Australian Service Medal is awarded to Australian Defence Force personnel for service in, or in connection with, a prescribed non-warlike operation. Australian personnel serving with UNTSO qualify for the Australian Service Medal with Middle East clasp. Also present at the medal presentation were UNIFIL Head of Mission and Force Commander Major General Paolo Serra, and Australian (non-resident) Defence Attaché Group Captain Warrick Paddon.
