The Australian Government collects biometrics (facial image and a 10-digit fingerprint scan) from all clients applying for Australian visas in Lebanon. Biometrics will be collected from visa applicants, irrespective of their nationality. Applicants are required to provide their biometrics if they apply in Lebanon, at the time of making a visa application, unless they are excluded or exempted.
Biometrics will be collected at the Australian Visa Application Centre (AVAC) in Beirut. The AVAC will charge a fee for this service. Visa applicants should make an appointment prior to attending the AVAC. To make an appointment please click here
Visa applicants who have lodged their application online will be sent a letter or an email informing them that they need to attend the AVAC in Beirut to provide their biometrics. Applicants should take a copy of the letter or the email and their passport to the AVAC.
